The Rebellion R2k

So I guess its time to show it all! ;-) This is the new Rebellion R2k, designed by myself and Leif Tufvesson. This time around nothing has been spared and the car ran perfect on its first test session. The real test will however be the 5000km its set of to drive next week during Gumball 3000, now that is what I call a real test!

This time the focus has been to really make the car work and be drivable instead of the earlier maxed out performance that never seemed to work. We did spend a lot of time on the interior as we knew that we will pretty much live in it during Gumball, so if you are in Sthlm om the 19th make sure to come check it out at Skeppsbron at around 16.00 (More exact times will follow). I hope you guys like it, I am super happy and I would like to thank all the guys that has helped me get the car to what it is now!

  • Leif Tufvesson and Caresto for doing an amazing job taming this beast!
  • Alexander  from for the updated lights
  • ADV1 for the best wheels ever!
  • Oskar Bakke for photos and all the design help
  • Cam Shaft Wrapping for the epic chrome foil and Kisterlappen for setting it perfectly!
  • Carl at Svenskbyggradio for hooking us up with perfect comunication during the rally
  • Jens for being a kick as co owner and partner in the project!

And last but not least my GF Janni for putting up with me spending day and night thinking about this car! ;-)

So now enjoy the movie and pictures and I hope to see all of you in Sthlm on the 19th! To stay updated on the rally, make sure to follow for constant movies and pictures during the rally as well as my Instagram account (@jonolsson1) for hourly updates during the rally! Cant wait for the 19th when its time to put this baby through its final exam!

Dont expect us to the first car to arrive in Sthlm, I know that the law enforcent will be out watching us and we will make sure to stay out of trouble on the first day of the rally and make sure to get to where we need to be safely, but dont expect us to be last either… ;-)

EDIT: I would have put a ski box on it if I had a good way to do it, (I could really use the extra space) but with the doors coming up it would be so narrow that it might hold a pair of cross country skis on a good day! So until I find a way to get around that I guess I will be boxless… ;-)

challrnge pikes peak international hill climb. fitting for a beast like this.

  • Tris

Just thought I would say that this is amazing and your ski box problem you could have a double one that goes in gap behind doors towards wing on either side?

  • Marc

All of this is very nice, yes it is an absolute great job and it looks awesome !

Thanks Jon for bringing us such a kit,

But… i think i need to know what the price is ?

Because perhaps i would be interested to buy it…

    Thanks in advance,

  • Thank you for every other informative website. The place else may I am getting that kind of information written in such a perfect way? I have a challenge that I am just now operating on, and I have been at the look out for such information.

  • Well done! Any plans to make that body available as a kit?

  • Tann

    No Air Conditioning!!!

  • Can we feature your pictures on our website? So that Indian audience can know more about you.

  • R

Jon, how will you manage to race trough Europe with no mirrors? Those side windows look awfully small to rely on in high speed cruising on public roads :/ Or is there some high tech sollutions i am missing?

    • JON

@R we just did not have time to put them on before this test, but good observation! ;-) They are being installed today…

  • Pascal

Nice! Oskar, simon and krill are doing a great job as usual!
Actually still coming here for the freestyle skiing, but since you impress me everytime you come up with crazy ideas… – i have to follow the car-projects too. :)

I know it’s not question monday and the answer might not be for everyone, but i’m gonna try anyway: How does this gumball-appearance work out with all your sponsors?!
I see many sponsors on that car, but neighter audi nor Red Bull seem to have anything to do with this project… even though it would have made sense for these brands.
I don’t even see a YNIQ or JON sticker on that car – how does that come? I know, you teamed up with people you don’t share any sponsors with, but it’s still your car… or can you strictly seperate that car-thing from the skiing-game cause betsafe & co are paying you that much?!

  • nick

    youll appreciate this jon,

  • Dan

    Hi Jon,

First great job with this monster… it looks insane… But I was wondering… Just out of curiosity… How much did you raise for charity???

Second.. Do you have any performance specs of this machine? Engine? bhp? 0-100kmh?? As a petrolhead I am really curious and further than these pics I dont know nothing about this machine.

    Good Luck with the G3K…

  • easty027

looks totally awesome – you must be pretty pleased with the end result !

  • Sean

My God that is sexy! When I build an Ultima I wish it could look like that :D

  • sdh

JON, any chance we could see some more pics of the interior?

  • Så grym bil! helt otrolig..sjukt jobbigt att se sånna bilar IRL och inte vilja ha en sportbil att köra skiten ur :)

Grymt bra jobb Jon & Leif!

  • Sjukt grym bil!

    Keep up the good work!

  • Gumballfan

    Just fucking awesome Jon!
    Have fun!

  • Mackan

Helt galen bil, finns typ inga ord som räcker till!
Får kolla in den närmare i Sthlm lr Köpenhamn

    Lycka till i rallyt
